ABOUT MTS MARYLAND

Ministry to State - Maryland is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and exists as a means to minister to those serving in the Maryland state government through fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

OUR MISSION

GOSPEL

Expose those in the government community to the transforming truths of the gospel through healthy relationships.

WORLDVIEW

Provide encouragement and support in the development of a Biblical world and life view for those in government who make a profession of faith.

CONSCIENCE

Strive to be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a Biblical conscience throughout the government community who both create and implement policy.

CHURCH

Provide a healthy means to connect the church in a non-partisan manner with those in government.

PRAYER

Promote and facilitate specific and intelligent prayer by the body of Christ for those serving in government.

MEET THE MARYLAND

Dave Stadler

Dave Stadler is a State Capitol Minister in Annapolis Maryland. 

 

Dave is ordained as a Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and endorsed by the Presbyterian and Reformed Commission on Chaplains (PRCC). He is also enrolled in a Clinical Pastoral Education program for chaplains at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He and his wife Jamie attend Annapolis Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He is also quite active as a volunteer at the United States Naval Academy. He serves on the Board of Directors for Serge, a global organization devoted to missions.  

 

Dave is originally from Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri. He began his professional career at Arthur Andersen & Co. in St. Louis and left the same company, now known as Accenture, almost 20 years later. He was a partner in the Financial Services Industry focused on the housing finance segment. For the next 15 years he served in executive roles, primarily as Chief Information Officer, at GMAC and Freddie Mac. After leaving Freddie Mac he served for a year in the Federal government as a senior advisor/fellow for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services near Baltimore. 

 

He and his wife Jamie are avid sailors and spend many summer days sailing the Chesapeake Bay and beyond.  Together they authored a sailing devotional called Living in the Design
